The Community Counseling & Crisis Center relies on adult and student volunteers from our community to provide assistance to those in need. Volunteer opportunities at the Crisis Center:
24 HR Hotline
The Community Counseling & Crisis Center houses Butler County´s only 24-hour crisis hotline. Individuals call the hotline with a variety of questions, concerns and issues ranging from work or school-related stress to suicidal thoughts. Hotline volunteers are always needed to provide 24-hour crisis intervention, support and referrals to callers in our center. Volunteers must complete a thorough training course prior to handling hotline calls.

Rape Crisis Program
The Community Counseling & Crisis Center is also home for the Butler County Rape Crisis Program. The Rape Crisis Program serves the needs of sexual assault victims and their loved ones 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Volunteer Victim Advocates are always needed to provide crisis intervention, emotional support, information and referrals to victims in hospital emergency rooms throughout Butler County, and on the phone. Volunteers must complete a thorough training course and criminal background check prior to assisting victims.

Other Opportunities
The Community Counseling & Crisis Center welcomes community and school groups who like to volunteer their time gardening, leaf raking, mowing, and performing general upkeep for our agency.
